Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy explains how GoHumanize may and may not be used. It forms part of and should be read together with our Terms of Service.

GoHumanize is designed to help users improve the clarity, readability, tone, structure, flow, and naturalness of their writing. You may use the Service only for lawful, responsible, and ethical purposes.

This policy is intended to protect GoHumanize, our users, third parties, and the security and availability of the Service from unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or irresponsible activity.

The prohibited activities described below are examples and do not constitute an exhaustive list. Conduct that is not expressly listed may still violate this policy if it creates comparable legal, security, operational, or safety risks.

You are responsible for the text, prompts, instructions, information, files, and other content you submit to the Service, as well as the output you receive and how you use, publish, distribute, or represent that output.

You must not use GoHumanize to submit, process, transform, obtain, distribute, or facilitate content or activities prohibited by this policy.

1. Responsible and Ethical Use

You may use GoHumanize to revise your own writing, improve readability, adjust tone, reduce repetitive phrasing, make text sound more natural, or communicate your ideas more effectively.

You must not use GoHumanize to deceive others, conceal misconduct, falsely represent authorship, or obtain an unfair academic, professional, financial, or personal advantage.

You must not use the Service:

• To falsely claim that content was written entirely without AI assistance where disclosure of AI use is required.
• To misrepresent who created, approved, reviewed, or endorsed content.
• To disguise plagiarism, copyright infringement, or the unauthorized use of another person’s work.
• To evade disclosure requirements, safeguards, or rules that apply to an examination, assignment, publication, workplace, platform, or professional activity.
• To create false evidence of authorship, originality, qualifications, experience, research, or professional competence.
• To bypass AI disclosure requirements or other authorship rules for the purpose of misleading another person or organization.

The use of AI-assisted rewriting is not automatically dishonest. Whether a particular use is permitted depends on the rules and disclosure requirements that apply to your situation. You are responsible for checking those requirements before using or submitting processed content.

2. Academic Integrity and Examinations

GoHumanize may be used as a writing-support tool where such assistance is permitted. For example, it may be used to improve the readability, grammar, tone, or structure of your own draft, provided that doing so complies with the applicable academic or examination rules.

You must not use GoHumanize:

• To cheat on an examination, test, quiz, assessment, interview, or other evaluation.
• To generate, rewrite, disguise, or submit answers during an examination or assessment where outside assistance or AI use is prohibited.
• To submit AI-generated or third-party work as your own when doing so violates academic-integrity or disclosure rules.
• To conceal plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration.
• To complete assignments, dissertations, admissions materials, certification assessments, professional examinations, or employment evaluations in violation of applicable rules.
• To fabricate quotations, citations, sources, research data, experimental results, qualifications, or supporting evidence.
• To interfere with plagiarism detection, authorship verification, proctoring, or academic-review procedures for the purpose of concealing misconduct.
• To disguise AI-generated material so that it may be submitted in violation of an institution’s policies.

You are responsible for following the policies of your school, university, instructor, examination provider, certification body, employer, publisher, client, or other relevant organization.

A change in an AI-detection score does not establish who wrote a text, whether AI was used, or whether the text complies with academic or professional rules.

GoHumanize does not guarantee that processed text will be accepted by any institution or classified in a particular way by any AI-detection, plagiarism-detection, or authorship-analysis system.

3. Fraud, Deception, and Misrepresentation

You must not use GoHumanize to commit, facilitate, conceal, or promote fraud or deceptive conduct.

Prohibited uses include:

• Creating or rewriting phishing messages, scams, fraudulent offers, or deceptive solicitations.
• Producing fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, false endorsements, or misleading consumer feedback.
• Creating fraudulent applications, invoices, contracts, claims, financial records, identity documents, or supporting materials.
• Misrepresenting a person’s identity, qualifications, employment history, experience, affiliations, or authority.
• Impersonating another person, company, government body, educational institution, or other organization without authorization.
• Creating misleading content intended to manipulate people into transferring money, disclosing information, or taking actions against their interests.
• Concealing the origin, purpose, or automated nature of content as part of fraud, spam, coordinated manipulation, or other deceptive activity.
• Creating false credentials, references, certificates, professional opinions, or evidence.

4. Harmful, Abusive, and Exploitative Content

You must not use GoHumanize to create, rewrite, improve, or distribute content that:

• Threatens, harasses, stalks, bullies, intimidates, or unlawfully targets another person.
• Defames another person or knowingly spreads false claims intended to damage someone’s reputation.
• Promotes or facilitates violence, terrorism, human trafficking, abuse, or serious criminal activity.
• Exploits, sexualizes, endangers, grooms, or otherwise harms minors.
• Promotes unlawful discrimination or targeted harm based on protected characteristics.
• Encourages suicide, serious self-harm, or harm to others, or provides instructions intended to facilitate such harm.
• Contains non-consensual intimate content, sexual exploitation, or threats to publish private intimate material.
• Is intended to exploit a person’s vulnerability due to age, disability, financial circumstances, health, or another personal condition.
• Incites hatred, violence, or serious harm against an individual or group.

5. False and Misleading Information

You must not use GoHumanize to deliberately create or distribute false or misleading information for the purpose of deceiving, manipulating, defrauding, or harming others.

This includes:

• Fabricated news reports or false claims presented as verified facts.
• False public-safety, health, election, or emergency information intended to cause harm or confusion.
• Fabricated statements falsely attributed to real people or organizations.
• Coordinated inauthentic content, mass-produced propaganda, or deceptive influence campaigns.
• False evidence or testimony intended for legal, regulatory, disciplinary, or administrative proceedings.
• Misleading content intended to interfere with democratic, civic, or public processes.

This restriction does not prohibit clearly identified fiction, satire, parody, role-playing, or hypothetical examples that are not presented in a manner intended to deceive or harm others.

6. Privacy, Personal Data, and Confidential Information

You must not submit, process, publish, or distribute personal, private, sensitive, or confidential information unless you have the legal right and appropriate authorization to do so.

You must not use GoHumanize:

• To expose, identify, locate, threaten, or harm another person.
• To publish private contact information, identification numbers, account credentials, financial details, medical information, or other sensitive data without authorization.
• To facilitate doxxing, stalking, identity theft, blackmail, surveillance, or unauthorized profiling.
• To rewrite confidential business, legal, employment, educational, or personal information in violation of a duty of confidentiality.
• To obtain or infer sensitive personal information for discriminatory, exploitative, or unlawful purposes.
• To process private communications belonging to another person without authorization.

You should remove unnecessary personal, confidential, and sensitive information before submitting text to the Service.

7. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Rights

You may submit content for processing only if you own it, have permission from the rights holder, or otherwise have a lawful right to use and modify it.

You must not use the Service:

• To infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy rights, publicity rights, contractual rights, or other legal rights.
• To conceal or facilitate plagiarism.
• To remove attribution, ownership notices, or rights-management information without authorization.
• To reproduce, adapt, rewrite, or distribute protected content where you do not have permission or another lawful basis to do so.
• To falsely claim ownership of content created by another person.
• To violate confidentiality obligations or restrictions imposed by a contract, employer, client, publisher, or other third party.

Processing content through GoHumanize does not transfer ownership of that content to GoHumanize. It also does not grant you ownership of, or additional rights in, content belonging to another person.

By submitting content, you give GoHumanize permission to host, copy, transmit, process, modify, and return that content solely as necessary to provide the rewriting and humanization services you request, operate and secure the Service, enforce our policies, and comply with applicable law.

8. Professional and High-Impact Uses

GoHumanize is a general-purpose writing tool. It is not a substitute for a qualified medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or other regulated professional.

You must not use the Service:

• To impersonate a qualified professional or falsely present content as having been prepared or approved by one.
• To fabricate professional opinions, diagnoses, reports, certificates, or expert evidence.
• To provide individualized regulated advice without the qualifications, authorization, and human review required by law.
• To make fully automated decisions that determine another person’s eligibility, legal rights, employment, education, housing, credit, insurance, healthcare, immigration status, or access to essential services.
• To discriminate against or unlawfully profile individuals in high-impact decision-making.
• To create misleading professional documents that may materially affect another person’s rights or interests.

Content used in a professional or high-impact context must be independently reviewed by an appropriately qualified person.

9. Illegal and Dangerous Activities

You must not use GoHumanize to create, rewrite, improve, conceal, or distribute content that materially facilitates:

• Illegal drug production or trafficking.
• Illegal weapons acquisition, construction, or use.
• Terrorism or violent extremist activity.
• Human trafficking or sexual exploitation.
• Malware, credential theft, unauthorized system access, or other cybercrime.
• Money laundering, sanctions evasion, tax fraud, or other financial crime.
• Evasion of law enforcement or legal restrictions.
• Any other serious unlawful activity.

This does not prohibit legitimate educational, journalistic, historical, cybersecurity, safety, prevention, or research-related discussion that is not intended to facilitate harm or unlawful conduct.

10. Spam and Unauthorized Communications

You must not use GoHumanize to create, rewrite, personalize, or facilitate unsolicited bulk messages, deceptive commercial communications, phishing messages, or other communications sent in violation of applicable marketing, privacy, or anti-spam laws.

You must not use the Service:

• To create or operate unconfirmed mailing, messaging, or contact lists.
• To collect or process contact details for unauthorized mass messaging.
• To disguise the repetitive, automated, or commercial nature of bulk communications.
• To produce variations of substantially identical messages for the purpose of evading spam filters, moderation systems, or platform restrictions.
• To send communications using purchased, scraped, unlawfully obtained, or non-consensual contact lists.
• To generate large volumes of misleading comments, reviews, posts, messages, or promotional content.
• To manipulate ratings, engagement, search results, recommendation systems, or public discussions through deceptive means.
• To operate fake accounts, coordinated inauthentic accounts, or impersonation networks.

You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before sending marketing or commercial communications and for providing recipients with legally required identification and opt-out mechanisms.

11. Misuse of GoHumanize’s Name, Brand, and Service

You must not impersonate GoHumanize or falsely represent that you are employed by, affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of GoHumanize.

You must not use GoHumanize’s name, logo, branding, website content, interface, or other proprietary material:

• To deceive users or obtain money, information, access, or trust.
• To create a confusingly similar, fraudulent, or misleading service.
• To falsely claim ownership of or an official relationship with GoHumanize.
• In violation of our intellectual-property rights or applicable law.
• To suggest that GoHumanize has reviewed, approved, certified, or endorsed particular content when it has not.

12. Fair Use and Excessive Use

The Service is provided subject to the usage limits, feature limits, subscription allowances, and other restrictions displayed on our website or described in your applicable plan.

You must not use the Service in a manner that is excessive, abusive, automated, or substantially inconsistent with ordinary use of the plan you selected.

This includes:

• Attempting to avoid usage limits through multiple accounts.
• Manipulating daily usage, word counts, credits, subscriptions, or processing allowances.
• Sharing access between users where the applicable plan does not permit it.
• Using automated requests, scripts, bots, or other tools without authorization.
• Abusing free trials, free plans, promotions, refunds, or introductory offers.
• Obtaining or attempting to obtain services without payment where payment is required.

If your use materially affects the availability, performance, security, or cost of operating the Service, we may apply reasonable rate limits, temporarily restrict processing capacity, require you to move to an appropriate plan, or suspend the affected activity.

We will not impose additional charges that were not disclosed in the applicable pricing or subscription terms.

13. Technical Misuse of the Service

You must not misuse GoHumanize or interfere with its operation.

You may not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, user accounts, servers, networks, databases, or related systems.
• Disrupt, overload, damage, probe, scan, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Introduce malware, harmful code, or other malicious components.
• Use bots, scripts, scrapers, automated tools, or programmatic access without our permission.
• Circumvent rate limits, usage restrictions, security protections, payment systems, or access controls.
• Manipulate usage accounting, subscriptions, credits, or eligibility for free access.
• Create multiple accounts or use other methods to abuse the free tier or avoid applicable limits.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code or underlying components of the Service, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
• Attempt to extract, replicate, or misuse proprietary prompts, models, datasets, systems, or internal logic.
• Resell, sublicense, rent, share, or commercially provide access to the Service without our written authorization.
• Use the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.
• Use the Service to interfere with the systems, accounts, or services of another provider.

14. Account and User Responsibility

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account and for taking reasonable steps to keep your login credentials secure.

If you permit another person to access or use the Service through your account, you are responsible for ensuring that their use complies with this policy.

You must notify us promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

You will not be responsible for unauthorized activity caused solely by a failure of GoHumanize’s systems or security measures.

15. User Responsibility for Content and Output

You are responsible for the content you submit, your right to use and modify that content, and your use of any transformed output.

You are also responsible for reviewing all output before using, submitting, publishing, distributing, or relying on it.

GoHumanize does not verify that submitted or processed content is:

• Accurate or complete.
• Original or free from infringement.
• Properly attributed or cited.
• Free from plagiarism.
• Lawful or appropriately authorized.
• Suitable for a particular academic, professional, legal, commercial, or personal purpose.
• Compliant with the rules of a school, employer, publisher, platform, client, examination provider, or other organization.
• Classified in a particular way by an AI-detection or plagiarism-detection system.

Output may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, altered meanings, unsupported claims, inappropriate wording, or fabricated information.

You should independently verify important facts, quotations, sources, citations, claims, and conclusions. You should disclose the use of AI-assisted tools whenever disclosure is required.

GoHumanize does not guarantee that output will be undetectable, classified as human-written, accepted by a third party, or suitable for submission under any particular policy.

16. Content Processing and Right to Refuse

GoHumanize processes text submitted by users but does not provide a public content-hosting or social-publishing platform.

We do not routinely pre-screen or manually review all content submitted to the Service, and we do not guarantee that prohibited content or activity will be detected or prevented.

The fact that the Service accepts, processes, transforms, or produces particular content does not mean that GoHumanize has reviewed, approved, endorsed, verified, or determined that the content is lawful, accurate, appropriate, original, properly authorized, or permitted under this policy.

Where content or conduct comes to our attention, we reserve the right, but have no obligation, to reject or refuse to process content that we reasonably believe:

• Violates this policy or our Terms of Service.
• May infringe the rights of another person.
• May expose GoHumanize, our users, or others to harm, security risks, operational disruption, or legal liability.
• Appears to facilitate fraud, abuse, cheating, exploitation, or unlawful activity.
• Must be restricted under applicable law or a valid legal request.

17. Enforcement and Preventive Measures

If we reasonably believe that a user has violated this policy or created a material risk to the Service, our users, third parties, or the public, we may investigate and take proportionate remedial or preventive action.

Such action may include:

• Warning the user.
• Requesting that the user stop or correct the activity.
• Blocking particular requests or content.
• Applying rate limits or restricting particular features.
• Temporarily suspending access while we investigate.
• Suspending or terminating an account or subscription in serious or repeated cases.
• Taking steps to prevent repeated abuse or circumvention.
• Preserving relevant records where required or permitted by law.
• Reporting activity to competent authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary to address an imminent risk of serious harm.

Where reasonably practicable, we may consider the nature, severity, duration, intent, and recurrence of the violation before deciding what action to take.

We may act without advance notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect security, prevent harm, comply with law, stop ongoing abuse, or preserve the availability of the Service.

Any refund or account credit will be determined under our Terms of Service, applicable subscription terms, and mandatory consumer-protection law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users whose access is suspended or terminated because of a violation may not be entitled to a refund.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy to reflect changes to GoHumanize, new features, developing risks, legal requirements, or improvements to our safety and enforcement practices.

When we make changes, we will publish the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the Service, by email, or through another appropriate method.

The revised policy will apply from the effective date stated in the updated version, subject to applicable law.
